On Saturday, June 17, 2006 Chicago Bauhaus and Beyond toured the Paul Schweikher home and studio, designed and built in 1938 on 7 1/2 acres of land with the gardens designed by noted Landscape Architect Franz Lipp. The home has been kept in original condition by its second owners, Chicago-area artist, Martyl and her husband, Physicist Alexander Langsdorf (deceased). We then visited the nearby Indian Lakes Resort by Don Erickson, student of Frank Lloyd Wright, designed in the mid-70’s as a pyramidal design of hexagon modules.
