Saturday, April 22, 2017 11:00 a.m.  For CBB members only: This year’s annual meeting will feature renown photographer, writer, architecture critic,  and ardent student of Mid-Century design and its context – Lee Bey.  His talk, “Beyond Mies” Unsung Mid-Century Modern Gems in our Midst, will include additional materials on our incredible venue –   the fabulous modernist 1961 Wintrust Bank, 100 W. North Ave. in Old Town, (formerly Diamond Bank) across from the Chicago History Museum. Don’t miss this chance to visit and learn more about the history of this building we have all admired over the years.  Bey’s photos reveal the modernist treasures around Chicagoland in the form of postwar homes, churches, synagogues, medical buildings, businesses, banks, and more.  This is a free event, but space is limited, so RSVP on Eventbrite by April 17 by clicking HERE
