CBB member Brian Muir organized a fantastic program for our first symposium:
An Icon of Chicago: Bertrand Goldberg's Masterpiece Marina City. The program was presented at the House of Blues Hotel in the Marina City complex and included insightful talks from specialists on Goldberg's career, including his son Geoff Goldberg. Other noted speakers included Professor Katerina Ruedi Ray of Bowling Green State University; Professor Igor Manjanovic of Iowa State University; Jeanne Lambin of the National Trust For Historic Preservation; Heather Barrow, Project Director of the Bertrand Goldberg collection at the Art Institute of Chicago; and David Jameson of ArchiTech Gallery. Lectures were followed by an interactive Q&A session then by tours of several condominiums and the rooftop deck.
