CBB Modernism Show 2006

The third annual Chicago Modernism Show, held April 7-9, highlighted vintage 20th Century furniture, fine arts and decorative arts from 1900-1970. Chicago Bauhaus and Beyond participated by exhibiting in our booth as well as sponsoring a lecture about American designer Russel Wright. The Chicago Art Deco Society presented a lecture on Miami's preservation of Deco architecture on the following Monday. The Architecture and Design Society of the Art Institute gave a fabulous pre-show preview party. Everyone worked together with Dolphin Promotions, show promoters, to create this great weekend to celebrate and preserve Modernism! And, last but not least, we signed up a record number of new members. WELCOME!

Thanks to: Richard Wright, co-sponser; Scott Vermillion, RW event coordinator, Joe Loundy of CADS, and all of the volunteers who helped make it all possible.
