Grahm Balkany, our guest speaker from last year's
annual meeting was just chosen as one of the
7 Chicagoans of the Year
by Chicago Magazine.
Balkany started the Gropius in Chicago Coalition to document
Gropius' involvement with the design of Michael Reese Hospital
Congratulations Grahm!!!!
Chicago Bauhaus and Beyond held a tour and wrote letters of
support to try and save the hospital but most of it
was demolished earlier this year. Four buildings remain
which hopefully will now be saved.
